Identity Exploration

Do you ever wonder how you fit into society? Or what defines your sense of self? Is it your race, gender, ethnicity, sexual identity, sexual orientation, or socioeconomic background? Even though some of these traits are visible, your invisible traits are just as important, if not more.

If you were to create a self-portrait, what would it portray? Would you include glasses to represent a disability? A graduation cap to symbolize being a student or graduate? Perhaps a superhero cape to signify parenthood? Identity is complex and it influences how you perceive the world, others, and yourself. Understanding your idenitity can be even more challenging when you're experiencing significant change.

Are you struggling to cope With change?

Is the transition you're experiencing causing you conflicting feelings, such as grieving one chapter of your life and embracing a new one? The validating part about these conflicting feelings is that both can be true. Life transitioning can cause a significant amount of stress, and represent positive changes.
